RIISnet Privacy Policy

RIISnet, L.L.C., with principal address at 7530 Parker Road, Suite 200, Fairhope, Alabama 36532 (“we” or “RIISnet.com”) is the owner and operator of the website located at https://marketplace.riisnet.com (the “Site”) and is the owner or authorized user of the content displayed on the Site. RIISnet.com respects user privacy and has created this privacy policy (“Policy”) to inform you about how we collect information, what types of information we collect, and how we use and disclose that information. This Policy also lets you know what steps we take to protect your Personal Information. For purposes of this Policy, “Personal Information” is personally identifiable information about an individual person, as more particularly described under applicable privacy laws, that is collected by RIISnet.com via the Site. Although we do collect Personal Information from our users, this Personal Information allows us to better serve our users. We do not sell any Personal Information to third parties, and any aggregate non-personal data that is shared is for purposes of enhancing the Site experience for all involved. Individuals, who qualify to become registered users of the Site, will be required to affirmatively accept the terms of the RIISnet Use Agreement (“Use Agreement”) and such other agreements as RIISnet.com may provided from time to time. All communications directly between registered users on the Site is done through RIISnet’s engagement process and those communications are further subject to the terms of the Use Agreement and other policies and agreements of RIISnet.com. Please take a moment to read our detailed Policy below. The Site is made available to you conditioned upon your acceptance of this Policy. Your use of the Site constitutes your agreement to the terms contained in this Policy.

Scope of Policy

This Policy only applies to your use of the Site and treatment by RIISnet.com of Personal Information collected by or on behalf of RIISnet.com through the Site. This Policy does not apply to any other websites or offline point of contact between you and RIISnet.com or any other company or individuals. This Policy does not apply to any communications between you and other users of the Site that may occur via the Site or offline. This Policy only applies to Personal Information and does not apply to information that may be provided to RIISnet.com via the Site regarding a business entity or organization, which shall be addressed by the terms provided in the Use Agreement entered into by an authorized representative of that business entity or organization. This Policy does not apply to the collection or use of any documents or other information submitted by a registered user as part of the engagement process. Please review this Policy periodically as we may modify it from time to time. This Policy was last revised on the date set forth below. Each time you visit the Site or provide us with information, by doing so you are accepting the practices described in this Policy at that time.

Consent to Processing of Information.

This Site and the information collected through this Site are managed and controlled by RIISnet.com or by third party service providers on behalf of RIISnet.com. The servers that make the Site available and that store the information that is collected are located in the United States of America (“USA”). If you are located outside the USA, please note that the information you provide will be transferred to the USA or to other countries which may not provide the same level of legal data protection as the country from which you access the Site. By using the Site and submitting Personal Information to RIISnet.com, you consent to and authorize this practice.

Information We Collect From You

• In order to take advantage of the capabilities of the Site and to obtain access to and use the features found on the Site, you must meet certain qualifications and register with the Site. We require users who register to use the services offered on our Site to give us contact information, such as their name, company name, address, phone number and e-mail address.
• At the time you express interest in attaining additional information regarding the services available on the Site or when you register with the Site, we may also ask for additional Personal Information such as title, department name, or fax number. We may also request certain business information regarding the entity on whose behalf you may be authorized to use the Site, including, property information, annual revenues, employee information, industry information, billing information, information regarding financial performance, specific property-related information or other information relevant to operating the RIISnet MarketPlace™ or completing a transaction on the Site. In addition, if a registered user elects to participate in the engagement process, that user may be requested to upload and submit additional information to facilitate the engagement process, the terms of which are more fully provided under the Use Agreement.
• We may collect non-personally identifiable information when users visit or participate on the Site. Demographic information that is collected is divided into two categories: 1) "non-public information", which consists of purchase history information and one-on-one communications between you and other users of the Site; and 2) "public information", which consists of other demographic information, including, but not limited, general geographic information, overall profiling of membership, etc.
• Please note that the Site is considered a general audience site and is not intended to be used by anyone under the age of 18 (or the age of majority in the user’s state of residence). RIISnet.com does not intend to collect Personal Information from users under the age of 18. By providing Personal Information on this Site, you represent to us that you are at least 18 years old.

Information Other Websites Collect From You

• By clicking on any links within the Site that take you outside of the RIISnet Site, you are agreeing to the new website’s terms and conditions and RIISnet.com is not responsible for any content or information that may be provided or gathered or used by the third party operating that website and use of that information is subject to the policies provided on that third party website.
• This Policy applies only in regard to pages specifically owned and controlled by RIISnet.com on the Site.

How We Use Personal Information

• We use your email address and your other Personal Information to help us efficiently operate the Site and RIISnet MarketPlace™, to contact you in connection with your transactions and other activities on the Site (including, but not limited to, confirmation emails or important news that could affect your relationship or transactions within RIISnet.com), and alert you of any new notifications within the Site or RIISnet MarketPlace™.
• We also use Personal Information to send you newsletters, educational information, offers and materials for RIISnet.com’s services. We attempt to send you information that is of value to you.
• We also use your Personal Information to provide customer service and to respond to your requests and inquiries and to protect you, and us, against error and fraud, as well as for archival purposes and to keep records of transactions conducted on the Site.
• The Site provides you with options to decline non-essential communications from RIISnet.com. Some of these options may only be for a certain category of communications; others may be more general.
• By providing Personal Information on the Site, you are opting to receive the RIISnet.com information. To stop receiving all non-essential communications, send an e-mail to contactus@riisnet.com. See the section entitled “How You Can Access and Update Your Email Preferences, Personal Information and Public Information” below for additional information.
• To operate the Site, including processing your transactions and supporting your activities on the Site, we may share your Personal Information with our employees, representatives, and service providers so they can provide us with support services such as email origination, receipt or support services, customer service relationship management services, and we require these entities not to use your Personal Information for any other purpose. Any principals, directors, officers, employees, and or representatives with whom RIISnet.com has a relationship in regards to transactions on the Site are bound by obligations of confidentiality.

How We Use Financial Information

• When you apply to become a registered user of the Site, we request that you submit to RIISnet.com certain financial information in order to check your qualifications for registration, to bill you for services rendered, to enable you to participate in those services offered on the Site and the RIISnet MarketPlace™ for which you are qualified to participate and for those other purposes provided in the Use Agreement. We will not share the financial information that you submit to RIISnet.com via the Site directly with any third parties without your prior written consent or approval. At the time you provide financial information to RIISnet.com via the Site, you may be provided an opportunity to specify how that information can be used either by RIISnet.com or third parties to communicate with you. Following specification by you of your preference, RIISnet.com will not change your preference in this regard without your express written consent.
• Please read the information below under the heading "Special Cases in which we Share Personal and Financial Information" to learn more ways in which we may share the financial information that you submit to RIISnet.com via the Site.

Special Cases in which we Share Personal and Financial Information

• If RIISnet.com sells assets (or the assets of a division or subsidiary) to another entity, or RIISnet.com (or a division or subsidiary) is acquired by or merged with another entity, you agree that RIISnet.com may provide to such entity Personal Information that is related to that part of our business that was sold to or merged with the other entity, without obtaining your further consent.
• We may also disclose Personal Information, including financial information that you submit to RIISnet.com via the Site, when we determine that such disclosure is necessary to comply with applicable law, to cooperate with law enforcement, in response to a court-issued subpoena, or to protect the interests or safety of RIISnet.com or other visitors to the Site.
• Whenever we disclose Personal Information that you submit to RIISnet.com via the Site under this paragraph, we may also disclose certain demographic information along with it, on a non-anonymous basis.

How We Use Public Information and Other Demographic Information

• We may anonymize Personal Information about you by cleansing it of any information which might allow you to be identified or contacted, and combine this information with that of other user to the Site. We may use this non-personal information for internal business purposes, such as analysis and planning. We may also sell or otherwise disclose anonymized information to third parties including business partners and others. We may share non-personally identifiable, public information that we collect via the Site with industry information aggregators to provide industry reports.
• We may review all demographic information. We may use public information to enable other users to find available properties and to determine whether they are a match for available properties that you list on the Site.
• We may use demographic information to tailor the Site and communications to your interests.
• We may also share demographic information with advertisers on an anonymous and aggregated basis (i.e., without telling the advertisers your identity). One of the reasons we may do this is to increase the likelihood that our advertisers’ goods and services will appeal to RIISnet.com users, so that we may target specific ads at specific demographic groups. Our sharing of demographic information with advertisers is anonymous (i.e., we do not tell advertisers which particular RIISnet.com users are members of which demographic groups), subject to the rest of this Policy. When you respond to an advertisement, however, we ask you to remember that if an ad is targeted to a demographic group and you decide to give the advertiser your personal information, then the advertiser may be able to identify you as being a member of that demographic group.
• Please also be aware that we may disclose your demographic information on a non-anonymous basis as described above in the paragraph titled "Special Cases in which we Share Personal and Financial Information."

Cookies

A cookie is a small text file that is placed on your hard disk by a web page server. Cookies contain information that can later be read by a web server in the domain that issued the cookie to you. RIISnet.com uses technical and organizational security measures to protect the Site against unauthorized use. RIISnet.com maintains Personal Information provided by you to RIISnet.com in a secure database while that information is in the possession of RIISnet.com. Transmission of information over the Internet, however, can never be 100% secure and RIISnet.com does not guarantee that the Site will be secure against unauthorized access by third parties or that any communications that you send to the Site will be secure from unauthorized access or interception.. You can help us to protect your Personal Information by (i) not sharing your password or other account information with others, (ii) using a secure web browser, and (iii) changing your password frequently.

Changing our Privacy Policy for Previously Gathered Information

If at any point, we decide to use certain Personal Information in a manner different from that stated at the time it was collected, we will notify users by way of an email or by providing 30 days notice on the Site.

How You Can Access and Update Your Email Preferences, Personal Information and Public Information

• We give you the opportunity to opt-out of certain communications and modify Personal Information or demographic information you have provided to us, and to hide demographic information from, or make demographic information visible to, the public users of the Site, at any time. In addition, changes to your email preferences regarding email communication can be made on the “my preferences” page contained on the Site or by contacting us via e-mail at contactus@riisnet.com. Please be aware that it may take several days for the changes you make to take effect on the Site. We thank you for your patience.
• Please note that changing or deleting your Personal Information or otherwise opting-out of receipt of email communications from RIISnet.com, will only change or delete the data in our database for purposes of future activities on the Site and for managing future communications from RIISnet.com. These changes and deletions will not change or delete information that was collected on or before the date of the request.
